Our uniquely designed hotel has everything that is needed for a welcoming stay whether that be for one day or six months. We strive to make our guests feel a little less like a tourist and a lot more like a local. And we do so with success! We are opened our second location in May 2023.

CAFÉ JANSEN BAJESKWARTIER It’s safe to say that Café Jansen is built on the ground of an iconic landmark: the Bijlmerbajes. Once a restricted area, soon a green and bustling place where everyone is welcome. On the first of May we opened our doors and everyone is welcome to come and go as they please in our brand new all day playground. Breakfast is a pure joy, with a menu featuring our spin on everyone’s all-time favorites (yes, we mean eggs Bennie). For lunch, we embrace our international side going beyond the typical Dutch sandwiches. But dinnertime might be our favourite time…
During dinnertime chef Vaughn and his team work their magic in the open kitchen with a menu inspired by French cuisine and ranges from classic comfort food to innovative dishes that highlight the uniqueness of local seasonal flavours. With a background in British, French and Mediterranean cuisine the chefs style is hard to define and that’s what makes it so interesting. The wine menu is a nice balance between conventional and biodynamic wines and the cocktailmenu consists out of the classics (done right!). Coffee comes from local coffee brewery Stooker and is not to be missed. Trust us.
So start your day with a morning coffee and find yourself an all day working spot. Start your afternoon drinks a little early and stay for an amazing dinner. Get lost on the terrace while trying to follow the sun and dance the night away with friends. Café Jansen is more than just another restaurant.
About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a visual content creator & Social Media Intern. You will be responsible for the creation and execution of the social media and visual content for the hotel and café, with the goal of increasing brand awareness and driving reservations for Hotel Jansen and Café Jansen.
You will be responsible for managing and creating content for our existing social media platforms and setting up new ones. This includes creating engaging and visually appealing posts, responding to customer inquiries and feedback, and analysing and reporting on social media metrics.
In addition, the intern will be responsible for creating and editing short videos to be used on our social media channels. This includes filming, editing and producing videos.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms and experience creating content for them. They should also have experience with video editing and a keen eye for visual design. Additionally, they should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging and high-quality content for social media platforms, including text, images, and videos to promote the hotel and the restaurant
- Setting up and optimizing our presence on new and emerging social media platforms
- Manage and grow the hotel's and restaurant’s social media presence across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to develop and implement social media campaigns that align with overall business goals
- Monitor and analyse social media metrics to track the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions
- Stay up to date on current social media trends and best practices
This is fulltime paid internship, ideal for students looking to gain experience in social media
Dit is wie je bent
- Currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, or related field of study
- Strong video editing skills
- You think out of the box and are not afraid to share your extremely good ideas
- Familiarity with all trending social media platforms and best practices
- Strong writing and communication skills in English and Dutch
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Experience in or love for the hotel/restaurant industry is a big plus!
- Fluent in English and Dutch
