KLABU
KLABU is building the world’s biggest club. Powering sports for young athletes in refugee camps and beyond with KLABU clubhouses.
Finance / Business Manager at KLABU
KLABU is the sports club that can change the world. We support refugees rebuilding their lives through sports projects in refugee camps. We also create and sell sportswear to raise funds and build a strong community of supporters. The goal: to become the biggest club in the world.
About the job
With many sports projects in refugee camps, with many partners around the world, KLABU is looking for a freelance / part-time Finance / Business Manager to work closely with the director and the team on finances. This includes forecasting, budgeting, accounting and reporting. We estimate that 8 hours per week will do at this stage, but this could become more or less depending on what is needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process for projects and for the organisation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Responsible for monitoring financial positions and project performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Responsible for providing oversight on all aspects of financial accounting and reporting to: 1. Empower stakeholders by providing actionable insights; and 2. Develop and lead financial reporting to partners, supporters and the KLABU Supervisory Board.
- Responsible for setting up and managing statutory reporting and compliance.
- Bookkeeping for the Foundation and the social enterprise by using bookkeeping software: responsible for the processing of invoices, invoice payments and other payments.
- Adhoc analysis and projects that support the financial operations of KLABU.
Dit is wie je bent
- You have 4+ years of experience in finance.
- You have a strong business mindset.
- You have experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- You are a firm believer in KLABU’s mission. You have a strong interest in the refugee cause and you love sports.
- You like building and want to be part of KLABU’s journey. You are motivated by the idea of working in a start-up and actively helping define the future of the organisation.
- You enjoy taking ownership while working within a team.
- You are fluent in English – orally and in writing. Additional languages welcome!
- You think in solutions rather than in challenges.
- You are based in the Netherlands and - at least occasionally - available to work from our office in Amsterdam.
Dit is wat je krijgt
- Becoming part of a growing social start-up and an international team with many different backgrounds, united by unbeatable spirit.
- Availability: approx. 8 hours per week (freelance or part-time). This can become more or less depending on what is needed.
- Start: as soon as possible.
Interested? Please tell us why you’re the one by applying through the 'solliciteer" pop up on this page. We look forward to hearing from you prior to 5 April 2024.
