Sport Projects internship at KLABU
KLABU uses the power of sport and community to support refugees who are rebuilding their lives. We are a unique combination of an NGO and a brand. Through our NGO we build sports clubhouses in refugee camps that are hubs for play, wellbeing, education, and entrepreneurship. Through our brand, we create and sell sportswear to raise funds and build a strong community of supporters. The goal: to reach 2+ million refugees in 2030 by actively running 50+ KLABU sports clubhouses in refugee camps, and becoming the biggest club in the world.
About the job
With many exciting projects in the pipeline, KLABU is looking for an intern to assist the team in delivering and managing KLABU clubhouses in refugee camps all around the world. You will work closely with the team at KLABU HQ in Amsterdam and the local teams in the refugee camps to ensure that our projects continue to be thriving and safe community spaces. This is also an opportunity to potentially grow into a permanent (employment) role at KLABU - several of our current team members have started their careers at KLABU as an intern.
Responsibilities
- Assist the KLABU team to set up and manage sports clubhouses in refugee camps.
- Help coordinate activities and programmes in KLABU’s sports clubhouses.
- Produce briefing notes before and after meetings.
- Conduct media monitoring and produce regular updates on sports initiatives for/with refugees globally.
- Use KLABU’s data-monitoring tools to track impact in our clubhouses.
- Support on keeping communications about our projects up to date including by collecting information from the local teams and updating the website.
- Much more will come up during the internship since we are a small team and everyone, including yourself, will take a lot of responsibility.

- You are available to work from our store / clubhouse / office in Amsterdam and occasional remote working is possible.
