Payroll Administrator at Armada Music
Armada Music is the biggest independent dance music label in the world, founded in 2003 by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis (AR-MA-DA). Promoting dance music all over the world from its offices in Amsterdam (HQ), New York and London, Armada Music represents and cultivates the creative exploits of some of the biggest players in the electronic music game, including Armin van Buuren, ARTY, D.O.D, Eelke Kleijn, Jan Blomqvist, Loud Luxury, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Tensnake, THEMBA and Yulia Niko.
About the job
Are you a detail-oriented, hands-on Payroll Administrator who is able to manage the full payroll cycle for multiple locations? Do you like to support the team and solve their issues and inquiries? And last but not least do you want to work in an informal and fast-paced environment of a music label? Then this is the job for you.
In this role you are part of a small, energetic team of soon to be 4 colleagues and you’ll be reporting to the Head of Human Resources. You are responsible for accurate payroll and personnel administration and therefore work closely with HR and the Finance department. You support them primarily in payroll administration and handle employee claims for commute/travel costs but also work on a variety of other tasks such as pension and insurance management, administration of absenteeism and monthly financial reports (personnel cost). You also provide support to the offices in New York and London and will have plenty of room to think about the further professionalization of the payroll administration and processes.
What will you be doing?
- You are responsible for the full management of the payroll cycle in the Netherlands and liaise with payroll offices in London and New York;
- Liaise with external Pension Consultants, UWV, Insurance company, outsourced payroll providers (London, New York);
- Monthly updating the personnel forecast overview;
- Creating payroll journal entries for UK and the US offices for the financial administration;
- Create monthly reports (out of the HRIS) for management information, data reporting as requested;
- Handling the monthly changes for the salary run and accompanying personnel administration;
- Documenting payroll changes and handling the communication to employees;
- First point of contact for Payroll related queries, salary calculations, travel allowance, expense claims, pension and insurance;
- Fleet management, manage budget and policies and liaison with municipality for parking permits;
- You contribute ideas to the optimization of Payroll and HR processes and the HRIS;
- Participate in projects as assigned by the Head of Human Resources.
Dit is wie je bent
- You have acquired a relevant (Bachelor’s) degree;
- You have a certificate in payroll (The Netherlands, e.g. PDL);
- You have 3-5+ years of relevant experience in payroll and knowledge of Dutch payroll regulations;
- Good understanding of legislation around company insurance policies;
- You are detail-orientated, accurate and possess critical evaluation skills;
- You are able to prioritize, work across multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines;
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications, Excel in particular);
- Preferably experience with HR2day (HRIS);
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to communicate on all levels;
- You are highly proficient in spoken and written English;
- You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
- You exercise discretion whilst handling sensitive and confidential information;
- You have affinity with the music industry.
A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required for the position and a reference check is also part of the application procedure.
