Armada Music is the biggest independent dance music label in the world, founded in 2003 by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis (AR-MA-DA). Promoting dance music all over the world from its offices in Amsterdam (HQ), New York and London, Armada Music represents and cultivates the creative exploits of some of the biggest players in the electronic music game, including Armin van Buuren, ARTY, D.O.D, Eelke Kleijn, Jan Blomqvist, Loud Luxury, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Tensnake, THEMBA and Yulia Niko.

About the job

The Brand Activation Manager is responsible for the strategy and rollout of various brand concepts, events and activations for Armada Music and its sub brands to create experiences that resonate with existing and new audiences. You guard the brand identity and optimize the global reach of our brand by tapping into trends, themes and the needs of both consumers and artists.

As the Brand Activation Manager, you oversee and optimize Armada Music’s brand exploitation activities and are responsible for managing partnerships with other brands and companies. This includes guarding the brand identity and setting up creative promotion/marketing campaigns for Armada Music’s branded concepts, events and activations. You are a link pin between frontline and creative departments and will be reporting to the Head of Brand & Design.

Job activities:

  • You oversee and optimize the brand activation strategy;
  • You coordinate in-house events, audiovisual recordings, internal branding campaigns, as well as external brand activations;
  • You work closely with the Head of Brand & Design, Marketing Managers, Online Marketeers, Designers and Videographers;
  • You report the results of our investments towards engagement and profit;
  • You play an important role in the company-wide planning and serve as the point of contact for all involved parties and departments;
  • You have a keen eye for opportunities and you represent the brand towards artists, agencies, brands and other stakeholders.

  • You have a relevant degree in Business Marketing or Communication;
  • You have at least two years of relevant experience with setting up brand activations within the advertising industry, a creative agency and/or preferably music industry;
  • You are the typical ‘go getter’, well organized, convincing and persistent;
  • You understand the inner workings of the music industry and preferably have an affinity for electronic music;
  • You have a creative, commercial and analytical mind;
  • You thrive under pressure and are used to working with strict deadlines;
  • You’re familiar with all forms of music consumption and social media and you have an interest in tech and innovations;
  • You have a relevant network within the (dance) music industry and brands related to the industry;
  • You are well versed in the English language, both in speech and in writing (Dutch is a pre).
