HAY zoekt Account Assistant (Sales Support)
HAY was established in 2002 as an innovative design company with the ambition of making quality contemporary design objects available to the widest possible audience. In 2018, a majority share in HAY was acquired by the American design company, MillerKnoll, whilst retaining the same company vision of collaborating with talented designers from all over the world to create functional and refined designs. HAY currently employs approximately 300 staff in Europe, with the majority located in Denmark, and has 31 stores throughout Europe, Asia and USA.

About the job
As our new Account Assistant in HAY, you will join our Benelux team consisting of 10 passionate and dedicated colleagues. You will be based in Amsterdam, where you will work closely together with our Country Manager for the Benelux region. The focus will be on performing administrative tasks, showroom tasks, monitoring customer communication and supporting the Account Managers. We offer you a great deal of freedom and responsibility to plan an effective working week in a supportive and positive environment.
More specifically, your tasks will include:
- Sales Support and Customer Service: Assisting customers (dealers and architects) with product information, lead time and price information; supporting sales team; close cooperation with colleagues in operational departments in Denmark to ensure a high level of service can be offered
- Responsible for sample loans and sample inventory management
- Communicating new sales tools and new product information to dealers
- Database management & mailouts: Utilizing the database to keep our contact lists for clients up to date and managing product or event specific mailouts
- Showroom host
- Facility management of our showroom, office, and warehouse
- Coordination and planning of staff meetings and events
- Coordination and catering for meetings
- Planning, booking and settling of travel arrangements
- Ad hoc tasks

Are you the Account Assistant we are looking for? Ideally, you have experience from a similar position, preferable in an international company involved in wholesale, retail and/or online activities. You are a competent user of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro, and you are curious and eager to learn new programs. It is important that you are fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Your communicative skills are well-developed, and you are able to collaborate with people on all levels using tact and diplomacy. You have excellent organizational skills, pay attention to detail in all tasks, and possess a natural ability to multitask and your flexible mindset you find it easy to adapt to a variety of tasks, working methods and situations.
On a personal level, you have a positive and self-driven personality. You are a strong service-minded team player with a positive outlook that motivates you to make your challenges a success focused on finding solutions and identifying possibilities.
