About the job

Are you a passionate Sales Account Manager – Wholesale with experience working with wholesale dealers (brick-and-mortar and online)? Would you like to work for an international design company, world renowned for beautiful and affordable products? Are you a naturally positive people person who wants to work with a fantastic team and customer base?

If so, you might be the person we are looking for as our new Sales Account Manager - Wholesale. You will be joining our International Sales team based out of our stunning Amsterdam showroom and will report directly to our Regional Sales Director.

About the job As our new Sales Account Manager - Wholesale, you will have an exciting opportunity to develop brand awareness, sales activities and strengthen relationships with our wholesale dealers in the Netherlands. This is a field sales role, for which you will be expected to attend meetings daily, with use of our beautiful showroom as a base but also visiting our (brick-and-mortar) dealers in person.

In this exciting role, you will promote HAY and further establish the brand in the wholesale market, which covers both online and brick-and-mortar. Combining your specialist knowledge, experience, and positive mindset, you will look after existing partnerships and expand the HAY network to promote sales.

You will develop, maintain, and strengthen our customer relations with the ambition of growing our sales performance. Your focus will be on customer-centric sales efforts, and you will be working closely together with five other dedicated colleagues from our showroom in Amsterdam.

More specifically, your tasks will include…

  • strengthening and expanding the sales activities for HAY wholesale in the Netherlands
  • developing the collaboration with both existing and onboarding new HAY wholesale dealers, including sales efforts and relationship building, including both online and brick-and-mortar
  • developing and maintaining a strong dealer portfolio with support in showroom presentations, local dealer activities, staff trainings etc.
  • attending trade fairs and events – including _3_days_of_design where we host dealers at HAY House in Copenhagen for exciting new launches
  • actively contributing to a well-functioning collaboration across the Netherlands’ sales team

  • a strong sales background ideally with experience working with Wholesale dealers
  • excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as an enthusiasm for and interest in interior design, products, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • an eye for detail as well as the ability to understand customers’ ideas and needs and convert them into competitive solutions in close collaboration
  • practical time management skills that give you the ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines
