Business Controller at Lois Jeans

About the job
The Business Controller at Lois Jeans plays a crucial role in providing financial insights, strategic guidance and operational support to ensure the financial health and growth of the company. This position will report directly to the CFO and collaborate closely with various departments, foreign offices and accountants across Europe.
Main responsibilities
Bookkeeping and financial planning:
- Control general ledger
- Consolidation of accounts
- Prepare month, quarter and yearly closures
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision making.
Data reconciliation Reconciliation of order management system, data warehouse and bookkeeping systems.
Accounts payable
- Oversee approval process of supplier invoices
- Prepare payment advice
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor performance against budget, for all departments, entities, companywide.
- Monitor and analyse key financial and operational KPI’s, providing insights and recommendations for improvement to all departments.
Reporting
- Prepare and present Lois monthly’s: Financial reports for the management team as well as the individual departments and budget owners.
- Prepare commission reports for our sales agents
Cost Control
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to enhance financial efficiency and profitability.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, managing risks associated with financial operations.
Collaboration
- Work closely with: Logistics & Operations, Commerce, Customer service and Creative teams to align financial practices, keeping them finance savvy; International teams; External partners, such as accountants, factoring company, bank and insurers.
Dit is wie je bent
- Preferably, you have at least 4+ year experience as a business controller, preferably in the fashion industry
- Experience in an international environment is preferred
- You are organised and methodical, committed to providing quality service, producing high quality outputs and meeting deadlines
- You are able to work independently
- You are an excellent communicator and negotiator in Dutch and English
