Nxt Museum is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager

Nxt Museum is the home of New Media Art in Amsterdam. We are passionate about art, technology, science and sound and are on a mission to push the boundaries of what a museum can be.

About the job

The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the marketing and creative teams consisting of project managers, a social media specialist and copywriters. You will be setting out the marketing strategy for the year ahead and report the results directly into Management on a weekly basis. Your role is crucial in both building the Nxt Museum Brand locally and globally and hitting commercial goals largely focussed on ticket sales. We are looking for a data driven marketer who loves culture and likes to work in a fast paced environment, not afraid of change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up the yearly Marketing Strategy
  • Managing the Marketing Team (strategic and creative) to help  execute the B2C and B2B strategy in support of the marketing and wider business goals
  • Tracking and reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis  for internal and external stakeholders (Management, shareholders)
  • Managing the yearly marketing budget including monthly reporting and optimising with the Fiance Manager
  • Overseeing the full agency roster and managing agency relations (Digital Media, Ticketing, Website Development, PR, Media, Brand Partners, etc.)
  • Working Closely with our digital media agency to constantly strategise, deliver, track and optimise ongoing paid campaigns week-by-week 
  • Managing the PR agency(s) to drive local and international press for exhibitions, events and Nxt as Institution
  • Develop the media plan and oversee the media buying including negotiating and liaising with various companies on an ongoing basis (ie. JCDecaux, Ocean Outdoor, Centrecom, I Amsterdam, Schiphol, etc.)
  • Crafting community building strategies through digital and owned channels
  • Ensuring  the implementation of  a CRM system
  • Working closely with all Nxt Museum teams to ensure all marketing efforts are streamlined across the business (ie. Consistency, Quality, Riguor, Creativity, Effectiveness)

Role requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the field of marketing (Ie. agency, client, tech, etc.)
  • Experienced in data driven marketing (online marketing, CRM, newsletter strategies, etc.)
  • A love for and understanding of brand building 
  • You thrive in creative environments and work well with teams of creative and tech talent
  • Love to work with people
  • Capable of building relationships at all levels of the business
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Independent, strategic thinker
  • We’re a startup/scale up, therefore flexibility is key and a  hands-on attitude is helpful
  • Curious, open minded and inclusive with a global and forward looking mindset
  • Passionate about culture
  • Fluent in English (in both verbal and written form)
  • Have the right to work in the EU (Nxt Museum cannot offer working visas for this role)

40 hours / week - Start date: October / November 2023
