Patta was founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt. Both were instrumental in the Dutch hip-hop and nightlife community in the 90s and early 2000s - Edson as a DJ and Gee as an MC and event host. The music-minded pair also had a shared obsession with hunting internationally for sneakers and records. They soon found themselves funneling a steady supply of gear from their travels, back home to their community in Amsterdam, which grew naturally into a business partnership. Before they knew it, the demand started growing, and a cult favorite brand was born. Today, Patta is one of few internationally revered, black-owned streetwear brands and consists of a clothing line, Patta Soundsystem, Patta Running Team, and, most recently, the Patta Foundation focusing on youth cultural education. The brand is named after a slang term for “shoe” - a nod to the founders’ Surinamese heritage. A creative family to the core, Patta encourages inspiring collaborations, cultural crossover, and unconventional forms.
About the job
About the job: As the Finance Officer Merchandising, you will be in charge of the accounts for our incoming and outgoing apparel. You will enter invoices, cross-check the goods receipts, find out differences and solve discrepancies. You will work with different teams within the company to ensure that all merchandise accounting is done correctly and processed on time. You will plan the cash flow of incoming goods with our production team and coordinate intercompany accounts. Please note that for this position you need to be based in The Netherlands or willing to relocate.

- You will need at least 1-3 years of work experience in a similar position to apply and prior experience with inventory transactions would be favored. You will need to have a solid accounting basis, so journal entries and stock postings will be easy for you.
- You will be liaising with internal and external parties and authorities for various topics, in order to help us grow and improve. Therefore your communication skills in English should be excellent. We need someone highly motivated with the ability to work independently and who is also able to motivate others.
- We work mostly with SAP and Excel, so advanced Excel skills are required and SAP experience is a definite plus.
