As Verknipt focuses on (hard) techno, industrial techno and other hard dance rave music, with multiple events throughout the year at various locations, booking well known artists and introducing our visitors to new rising stars! Are you the new Strategic Event Marketeer for Verknipt?
Verknipt is expanding and is looking for someone to fill the strategic position of our marketing team. In the current situation our content manager takes on both the strategic and creative role. These two positions will be split apart, leaving room for a new member to join our team. In this position you will take the lead in our marketing strategy with responsibilities such as growing through advertising, brand awareness at domestic and international level and many more. About Verknipt Verknipt, a fast-growing event organisation based in Amsterdam, is seeking a talented and dynamic Event Marketeer to join our team. The organisation is responsible for Verknipt festival, Wonderland Festival, all Indoor Verknipt editions and since this year: Verknipt's international editions. Verknipt originated back in 2012 with a wide choice of electronic music at its events, but since 2021, we have started to focus entirely on hard techno and in doing so have taken a leading role in this scene. Because the hard techno vibe totally suits our way of doing things: nothing is too crazy, lots of laser lights, the hardest artists, crazy visuals and, last but not least: lots of fun! With over 20+ national and international events, we work all year round to further increase our leading position in the hard techno scene. As the Strategic Event Marketeer, you will play a vital role in creating, implementing and coordinating marketing strategies for our diverse range of events, concerning both Verknipt & Wonderland Festival. About the job
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for each Verknipt event, considering launch dates, lineup announcements, ticket updates, and other strategic posts requiring artwork. This involves thinking out of the box and coming up with new innovative ways to take Verknipt's marketing to the next level.
- Deploying new marketing tools, researching new opportunities within the industry and keeping abreast of all new developments.
- Collaborate closely with the Content Manager to creatively execute the marketing strategies, and advise on how to increase the reach and effectiveness of the creative content.
- Carrying out target group analyses, trend and developments analyses, competition analyses, social media analyses and website analyses to translate the data collected into successful strategies and campaigns. Constantly monitor results and further develop these strategies.
- Devise a plan for event launches, including requesting artworks and advertisements from the designer. Additionally, carrying out small design tasks, and brainstorming new ways to effectively showcase the Verknipt brand through online and offline media.
- Explore opportunities to elevate our upcoming online merchandise shop to new heights.
- Establish contact with international event organizers, ensuring a consistent posting schedule and effective representation of the Verknipt brand in other countries.
- Creating a plan for deploying all on- & offline promotion, activations, campaigns and advertisements. Be ultimately responsible for maintaining the marketing budget and signing agreements that contribute to Verknipt's growth.
- Creating the ticket shops for all events, implementing the ticket shop on the website and monitoring ticket sales. Also maintaining communication with our ticketing partners.
- End responsible for facilitating, managing, and evaluating strategic media partnerships, both with influencers, stakeholders and associated brands.
- Supervise the marketing team in carrying out day-to-day tasks, which include: copywriting, helping to carry out analyses, writing press articles and more.
- Being present at the events of Verknipt to: maintain social media presence during events, lead the photo and video crew, monitor online communication channels, be a point of contact regarding marketing and address any issues that may arise promptly.
Dit is wie je bent
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event/Leisure Management or any other related field;
- Having HBO/WO work/thought level and 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of event marketing;
- Having experience with social media campaigns, email marketing, SEO and SEA, google and social analytics and using data to continuously improve;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English language;
- Being independent, proactive, flexible and solution-oriented;
- Strong management and leadership skills with detail orientated work flow;
- Strong organizational and project management abilities;
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems;
- Creative thinking and ability to contribute innovative ideas;
- Familiarity and/or affinity with the artists, music and events of Verknipt or related organizations in this industry;
- Stress-resistant, having the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

We offer a competitive salary package and a vibrant work environment in a fast growing industry! Verknipt has a young team, currently working at our new office in Weesp, where lunch will be taken care of. If you join our team, your year will be filled with many events, including work trips to international shows throughout the whole world. During a normal week, we work 4 days from Monday to Thursday. During the week of an event, we usually also work before and during show days.
There is a possibility to work under contract as a full time employee or a full time freelancer.
