We’re looking for an ambitious Customer Success Manager, with 1 - 3 years of experience, to join our growing creative team in Amsterdam. We're an award-winning digital agency and Europe's leading Shopify Plus partner. We focus on strategy, design, development and data-driven growth in the ecommerce industry, with a client base of international fashion, lifestyle and beauty brands.

We have a centrally located office in Amsterdam that’s always packed with friendly faces, warm food and cold beer. We’re big on collaboration and always encourage our separate teams to work together on projects. You’ll work closely with the sales team and designers, learning from them along the way whilst they also learn from you, as we all pitch in to help our clients grow their businesses.

About the job

As a Customer Success Manager at Ask Phill you will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients by building strong relationships and ensuring their satisfaction and growth. You will identify opportunities for upselling and secure contract renewals. 

After the new business sales team brings in the new client, you will step in. Collaborating closely with Product Owners, you are the key player in ensuring client success. While project management falls under the responsibility of the Product Owners, your focus lies in maintaining client relationships, upselling, and ensuring satisfaction.

As part of our sales team, you'll work alongside our other Customer Success Manager, Benjamin, to ensure the happiness and success of all our clients. Your contributions will directly impact our clients' growth and satisfaction within the dynamic world of ecommerce.

We are on the lookout for someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about working with people and has a strong interest in ecommerce, especially in the fashion and lifestyle sectors. The right candidate will be an effective communicator, comfortable in engaging with various types of stakeholders. Ideally, you bring experience with the Shopify platform and possess a thorough understanding of the evolving ecommerce landscape, staying ahead of industry trends and directions.

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business
  • Foster strong, long-term client relationships that go beyond mere satisfaction – aim for their success and growth.
  • Recognize opportunities for upselling within your client portfolio.
  • Drive contract renewals by showcasing the value and benefits of our services to clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to facilitate smooth onboarding for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition to ongoing success.
  • Keep up-to-date with ecommerce trends and Shopify developments, ensuring you’re always a step ahead in understanding the market in which each client operates.
Dit is wie je bent
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a client facing role, such as a customer success manager or account manager
  • A profound enthusiasm for engaging with clients and building strong relationships.
  • A strong interest in the ecommerce industry, particularly in the types of clients we work with: fashion, lifestyle & beauty
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, comfortable talking to all types of stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.

Additional useful experience

  • Prior experience working with the Shopify platform.
  • Experience in an agency setting is a plus.
