In this era of transition, many brands and organizations feel the need to change. Inclusion, responsibility, sustainability, changing needs and demands from the marketplace: new partnerships, propositions and paradigms are necessary for sustainable success. We support our clients in the development of new visions, strategies, products and services; help them reinvent themselves for the future ahead. An ambitious B-corp certified strategy firm We have grown steadily since our foundation in 2008, creating an inspiring, ambitious 30-strong team consisting of a wide variety of perspectives. Until recently, we were explicitly ‘design-thinking generalists’, choosing to apply cross-industry insights and work for a very wide range of industry leaders and challengers, from banking to bakeries and from solar energy to snacking. Over the past two years, we have enriched our generalist portfolio with five areas of dedicated expertise: SDG Impact, Smart Cities, Conscious Consumers, an NGO practice and a unit dedicated to Education reform. We have also taken the first steps in setting up satellites abroad. We work for some of the biggest brands in the Netherlands and the world, ranging from WWF and Rainforest Alliance to Heineken and PON. In this decade of action, it is our ambition to make the ‘big guys better’ and the ‘good guys bigger’; we choose our projects consciously (are we contributing to progress?) but do not judge - with an exception for tobacco and weapons.
About the job
Marketing Manager As Fronteer’s Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for both the marketing strategy and the operational execution. You are motivated by our commitment to make a positive impact, and want to share this message with us to the right audiences, at the right time, in the right place(s). In close collaboration with the brand, sales, and design teams you develop engaging campaigns for the right target groups, and experiment with new ways to increase awareness to potential clients, experts, partners and employees. You are the guardian of the Fronteer brand, and ensure that all outgoing communications match our visual identity and voice. Fronteer is a holacratic and self-organizing company. Your role will be both strategic and operational, intensively collaborating with other team members to achieve success. Until now, the Fronteer brand has been managed by our team, but as our company is growing we are ready to professionalize our marketing efforts. Therefore, we are looking for an independent and entrepreneurial marketing manager that wants to put Fronteer on the map with us. What will you do?
- Ensure the effective management and growth of Fronteer’s marketing channels, from social media (Linkedin, Insta) to email to SEA, you know best!
- Develop brand strategy and marketing plans for Fronteer, in close collaboration with the brand team members.
- Manage the content calendar and continuously gather input from members across the team.
- Manage and update the Fronteer website with cases, stories, and updates
- Optimizing the Fronteer website for SEO and conversion
- Develop and track paid marketing campaigns (SEA, social)
- Strengthen the link between marketing and sales, by supporting the teams in the organization of events, content development, marketing materials, campaigns, PR, pitch decks, landing pages.
- Be the guardian of the Fronteer brand identity and actively work together with the design team to develop assets in line with the Fronteer style.
- Set-up and experiment new forms of marketing: Podcasts? Great idea!

- Fluent and engaging copywriter in Dutch and English.
- You have an excellent eye for visual identity and detail.
- Experience in maintaining websites, social media, e-mail marketing.
- SEA and paid advertising experience.
- Background in marketing, communications, or other related fields.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience.
