Research intern at Provoke
Provoke is a creative studio and agency focused on helping brands contribute in a meaningful way to youth culture in Europe and beyond. We focus on communication, strategy and creativity by tapping into the key communities that are relevant to what moves, inspires and activates the youth. Our approach puts community and culture first by ensuring that the work we create adds value to the current cultural discourse. Our organization is structured around 5 key pillars: research, strategy, creative, media and Web3. We work with a variety of brands who believe in true partnership and align with our philosophy. Agency work is not the only thing that defines us though. The commercial projects that we develop help us fuel a multitude of other creative and progressive cultural initiatives. A selection of clients we work with: Nike • Converse • Snipes • Alpha Industries We’re looking for interns who can support us starting February 2023 for a minimum period of 5 months. Our internal DNA is naturally creative and proactive; we pride ourselves on our strong bullshit detectors. Ideally, you’d like to be part of our team as an intern, but also want to grow with us in the long term. Departments: Marketing / Research / Creative
About the job
We are looking for a talented and curious research intern who can help uncover opportunities in youth culture and tap into emerging trends, starting February 2023 for a minimum period of 5 months. As a research intern, you will support our research efforts throughout Europe for both client-facing projects as well as in-house initiatives. A key skill is being able to digest and translate key insights into structured reports, actionable insights and presentations, filtering out the essentials from the expected. Activities:
- Collect data on clients, competitors, and different markets to synthesize the valuable information into actionable insights.
- Analyze client needs driven by market conditions and evaluate areas of opportunity for sales and product development.
- Translate findings and conclusions into fitting and creative recommendations.
- Create research reports and presentations from research data that tell a story to help drive strategy and planning.
- Be the voice of the consumers of different brands through quantitative and qualitative research.

You’re following a higher education in the direction of commercial economics, creative business, marketing or another related field. If you have a different education but think you can meet the tasks and responsibilities, please don’t hesitate to reply. This is the right position for you if you share our love for anything related to street culture, new media and web3. You have a sense of responsibility and don’t shy away from taking action and ownership. Skills:
- You have a love for writing and are good at it
- You have some basic experience with research reports
- You’re able to filter through research findings and data
- You know how to flip a deck and make it look presentable
